Hi,
My name is Bill Bush. My late brother is George Bush, a well known artist who painted for some of the top publishers in the country. I wanted to send out a thank you for featuring his romance novel covers on your web site.
George left us about 4 years ago at the age of 70. He fought the ever increasing affects of multiple sclerosis since the late 1990’s. Of all the Symptoms of the stranded disease to start affecting my brother first was his eyesight. He described it as flickering or jumping/twitching of whatever he was concentrating on. As the years passed his strength as in his ability to walk steadily went downhill ever so slowly. His artwork took him a lot longer to complete as he had a visual contraption he made by using masking tape and different reading glasses taped together so he could see well enough to paint. He also kept increasing the size of his paintings so it was easier for him to work on the fine details. I believe it was around 2005 when he completed his last romantic cover painting. There were some painted after that but there were a joint effort between George and his artist wife Lorraine. Lorraine was also a rather talented artist who continued on painting cover art for romance novels.
Lorraine passed away at the age of 76 , less than a year after Georges passing. She suffered for many years from the affects of Limes disease.
For me, I was Diagnosed about a year ago at the age of 67 with Parkinson’s disease. Makes me think, what’s up with my family’s DNA? I did learn that there is some sort of medical relationship between MS and Parkinson’s. Oh well, these are the cards we are dealt in life and we continue on doing the best we can.
Last year at this time, that would have been near the end of 2024, I started listing Georges cover art on eBay. My eBay user name is Bushvideo. Yes a silly name but back in 2001 I had a video business videotaping racing events at some dirt track stock car tracks located in Eastern Pennsylvania. So I have a long selling history and there has been a lot of Intrested in Georges artwork. I sell about 1 or 2 paintings a month. I think there are 50 or so paintings listed now, that’s as of January 2026. I have a lot more of his paintings and some of Lorraine’s that will be added throughout this year.
