lynne graham the italians wife

Category Romance Review: The Italian’s Wife by Lynne Graham

Posted on June 29, 2022November 28, 2023 by IntrovertReader

Lynne Graham’s The Italian’s Bride is unusual from her other books I’ve read in the past.

Holly Samson is the first Graham heroine I can recall who was not a virgin, and who’s borne another man’s child. The hero is typical of her heroes: dark-haired, ultra-masculine, ridiculously wealthy, smitten with the heroine, and of Italian descent. 3.62 Stars

cherish me, embrace me berni

Historical Romance Review: Cherish Me, Embrace Me by Sylvie F. Sommerfield

Posted on June 27, 2022November 28, 2023 by Blue Falcon

This review is of Cherish Me, Embrace Me by Sylvie F. Sommerfield. The book begins in 1851 in France. The coming revolution forces Jules Dubonne, his wife Marie, and their three children, sons Alexander and Dante, and daughter, Celeste, to leave France. They journey to a new home they believe will be free from war and violence, America. They will soon discover the fallacy of that belief. 4.80 stars

rumor has it kalan

Category Romance Review: Rumor Has It by Celia Scott

Posted on June 24, 2022November 28, 2023 by IntrovertReader

Celia Scott’s Rumor Has It is a modern-day Cinderella story where the fairy godmother is not an actual person but a false rumor that transforms a frumpy heroine into a glamorous new woman who finds her prince. 5 stars

comanche bride merrit

Historical Romance Review: Comanche Bride by Emma Merritt

Posted on June 20, 2022January 18, 2024 by Blue Falcon

This review is of Comanche Bride, a standalone January Zebra Lovegram from 1989 by Emma Merritt. There are things to like about this book. But there are also enough negatives that bring the book’s final grade down. 3 stars

lion's lady morgan kane

Historical Romance Review: The Lion’s Lady by Julie Garwood

Posted on June 17, 2022September 19, 2023 by IntrovertReader

The Lion’s Lady by Julie Garwood takes us to Regency Era England where we meet two firm-willed yet evenly matched partners in love. One is a lady of mystery from the former colonies raised among the Native people. The other is an English nobleman turned soldier and spy, now retiring from duty. 4 Stars

the marriage war charlotte lamb

Category Romance Review: The Marriage War by Charlotte Lamb

Posted on June 16, 2022November 28, 2023 by IntrovertReader

The Marriage War by Charlotte Lamb may not have the worst hero in Harlequin Presents history, but he certainly ranks up there in the top. .5 stars

traitors-kiss george bush TERRI VALENTINE

Historical Romance Review: Traitor’s Kiss by Terri Valentine

Posted on June 13, 2022November 28, 2023 by Blue Falcon

This review is of Traitor’s Kiss, a standalone by historical romance Terri Valentine. Traitor’s Kiss is a good book. It simply lacks the passion and juice to be a great book. 3 stars

Dangerous Obsession natasha peters

Historical Romance Review: Dangerous Obsession by Natasha Peters

Posted on June 11, 2022November 10, 2022 by IntrovertReader

Dangerous Obsession is the sequel to Natasha Peters’ first book, Savage Surrender, although the relation between the books is not revealed until midway through this 630 page epic. 5 stars

pino romance

Historical Romance Review: Passion’s Chains by Catherine Creel

Posted on June 10, 2022November 11, 2022 by IntrovertReader

Passion’s Chains was the first romance novel I read after subscribing to the Lovegram line many, many years ago. The plot description on the back of the book sounded like this would be a riot. And it was! 4.5 stars

liar's moon heather graham

Category Romance Review: Liar’s Moon by Heather Graham

Posted on June 9, 2022November 28, 2023 by IntrovertReader

Liar’s Moon, a Dell Candlelight Ecstasy Supreme by Heather Graham is an overwrought foray into romantic suspense. There’s intrigue, murder, and a long-ago love affair between a teenage girl and a much older, close family friend. Events lead to a dramatic and happy conclusion in this so-so-category romance.
