Cheyenne Captive by Georgina Gentry is the first book in her very long-running Panorama of the Old West series. It’s a strong romance with a well-researched portrayal of the Cheyenne tribe. 5 Stars

Category Romance: Elusive as the Unicorn by Carole Mortimer
Elusive as the Unicorn by Carole Mortimer is another mediocre romance that Harlequin publishers bafflingly honored with their so-called Award of Excellence. 2.5 Stars

For anyone who loves historical or medieval romance, White Lion’s Lady by Lara Adrian (aka Tina St. John) is an absolute keeper. I highly recommend it. 5 stars
Historical Romance Review: Midnight Fires by Carol Finch
This review is of Midnight Fires by Carol Finch. This Zebra historical romance set during the war of 1812 is a typical Carol Finch book. It’s very good, but lacking the dynamic qualities to make it great. 4 stars
Category Romance Review: Sirocco by Anne Mather
An Anne Mather Harlequin Presents is what I considered to be an “old reliable.” In this category romance, Sirocco, Anne Mather employs one of her commonly used tropes: a hero in pursuit of an already “attached” woman. 3.5 stars
Historical Romance Review: Silver Storm by Cynthia Wright
Silver Storm by Cynthia Wright would have been excellent if not for the slow start. However, once it gets there… Oh my. 3.5 Stars
