Historical Romance Review: This Towering Passion by Valerie Sherwood
Lovely red-gold-haired, violet-eyed Lenore is the female protagonist of Valerie Sherwood’s This Towering Passion and the primary heroine of its sequel, Her Shining Splendor, which tells the tale of both Lenore and her daughter, Lorena, from the English Civil War to the Restoration eras. 4 stars
Historical Romance Review: Enchantress Mine by Bertrice Small
Despite some crazy scenes, the Bertrice Small Medieval Romance, Enchantress Mine, suffers from a too-perfect heroine and a dull hero. 2 1 /2 stars
Historical Romance Review: The Magic of You by Johanna Lindsey
The Magic of You, Johanna Lindsey’s 4th novel in her Malory series, is a wonderful romance about a vixenish heroine in pursuit of her family’s hated enemy. 5 stars
Historical Romance Review: Texas Tempest by Deana James
Zebra Historical Romance Texas Tempest features yet another great, steel-willed Deana James heroine and a wonderful hero who is the only man to be her match. 4 stars
Historical Romance Review: Stolen Spring by Louisa Rawlings
France and Versailles under the reign of Louis XIV was a decadent, lavish era, and Louisa Rawlings captures it perfectly in Stolen Spring. 4 1/2 stars
Historical Romance Review: A Pirate’s Love by Johanna Lindsey
In a Pirate’s Love by Johanna Lindsey Bettina Verlaine travels across the sea to an unwanted fiance when she is captured by the pirate Tristan Matisse. 1 star
Historical Romance Review: The Innocent by Bertrice Small
It was a bad sign that Bertrice Small’s The Innocent features one of her dullest covers ever. The lone positive was that it was designed as one last created by legendary artist Elaine Duillo for her dear friend Bertrice. 1 star
Historical Romance Review: While Passion Sleeps by Shirlee Busbee
While Passion Sleeps was an enjoyable ride. It is a bodice ripper that spans continents and years, has lots of steamy love scenes and plenty of violence.
Historical Romance Review: Born to Love by Valerie Sherwood
Born to Love by Valerie Sherwood was a book about four generations of women hat reached great highs and very middling lows. 4 stars
