The #102 edition of our Covers of the Week spotlights some romance covers featuring the handsome looks of French model/actor Alain Jarry.

Apologies to all for uploading this Covers of the Week a day or two late. We think you’ll appreciate our theme of romance covers with international model Alain Jarry.
Cover Model: Alain Jarry
Alain Jarry was born in France in the early 1950s. He worked as a photographer for National Geographic Magazine. Jarry also dabbled in acting, appearing in bit parts in movies like The Story of O and She-Devil.
But Jarry is best known for his career in the 1980s as a prolific and much-in-demand fashion and magazine model.

In addition, he has appeared on hundreds of book covers. Jarry appeared on about 100 Mack Bolan action-genre covers (many of them painted by Daniel Crouse).
And, of course, he was the face of many romance novel heroes throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Alain Jarry’s handsome looks made him a favorite muse for cover artists like Elaine Gignilliat and Elaine Duillo. Occasionally his powerful jawline has caused some romance readers to confuse him with another Duillo muse, Fabio.
