Stepback Covers Part IV: 1980s Romance Stepbacks
Throughout the 1980s, romance publishers would use various tricks to catch prospective buyers' eyes: embossing, foil lettering, bright colors, explicit embraces, big-named artists, superstar cover models, and more. Nevertheless, the stepback was not commonly utilized until the mid-1980s. Read more “Stepback Covers Part IV: 1980s Romance Stepbacks”

It's #stepbackSaturday. I know its almost 10:30 p.m. Saturday night on the East Coast. But it's still in time. I'm the type of person who'd be late for her own funeral! I've got 10 minutes until it's Sunday. Ever the procrastinator, here I am posting a #stepbacksaturday #romancecover. As you can tell from the flag in the back, this is a civil war #Romance. It's a rough era, but for some reason I like romance is set during this time. There's an extra layer of drama added to the #romance novel. It's #stepbacksaturday for a couple of more minutes, but I forgot to to post this #stepbackreveal last time I posted a #stepbackcover. Hello all! Happy weekend. I've been away for a while but I'm back with a new #stepbackcover for my #stepbacksaturday pic. Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a fulfilling week. I'm doing some spring cleaning, trying to yet again reorganize my #books. I don't have enough shelves so I put them in boxes. There must be a ton in the attic, because I'm missing couple of 100 books. I think I'm the only person who could lose track of that many! Here's a review for a steamy #HarlequinPresents from 1995, by the late #MirandaLee. It is #ThrowbackThursday and a tweet reminded me of my beloved #cat Boomer. If human beings can have soul mates, then Boomer was mine. This week on #sweetsavageflame we highlighted one of our favorite romance cover models, Michael O'Hearn @mikeohearn. We've accumulated over 50,000 views on our Sweet Savage Flame #bookblog and we couldn't be more happy and thankful! To all our readers and supporters, we can't say enough to show our appreciation.
