Sivavec Life and Career

Diane Sivavec was born in 1961 in western Pennsylvania. She received her formal education at Syracuse University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts.

As a student, her awards included the Society of Illustrators honors, class valedictorian, and the Scholar-Athlete of the year award.

She has painted fine china plates for the Bradford Exchange, including subjects such as Elvis, The Beatles, James Stewart from Its a Wonderful Life, and sports stars, like Dan Marino.

Book Illustrations

Sivavec has earned many commissions from top advertising and publishing corporations such as Random House, Doubleday, the Hearst Corporation, Scholastic Books, and Anheuser-Busch.

She has produced many beautiful romance book covers for publishing houses such as Kensington and Avon. Like other cover illustrators today, she no longer works in paints, but in digital art.

Sivavec continues to produce her beautiful artwork as she still paints professionally. Her artwork has been shown in numerous galleries. She lives in New Jersey with her family.
