Historical Romance Review: Savage Obsession by Cassie Edwards

Posted on February 28, 2022May 21, 2022 By Blue Falcon No Comments on Historical Romance Review: Savage Obsession by Cassie Edwards
Historical Romance Review: Savage Obsession by Cassie Edwards
This review is of Savage Obsession, book #1 in the “Chippewa” series by Cassie Edwards. From what I read of others' reviews of her books, there is no middle ground with Mrs. Edwards' work. Some love her, and others absolutely hate her. I’m kind of in the middle. Savage Obsession won’t make anyone a fan of Mrs. Edwards’ work who wasn’t already one. 2 stars Read more “Historical Romance Review: Savage Obsession by Cassie Edwards”

This review is of Nobility Ranch (ebook title To Love a Lady), book #1 of 3 in the “Titled Texans” series from July 2000 by Cynthia Sterling. Ms. Sterling gets her “Titled Texans” series off to a great start with Nobility Ranch/To Love a Lady. Unusual Settings In Historical Romances

Unusual Settings In Historical Romances
Let's talk about extraordinary settings! I use the term "extraordinary" rather than "exotic" to describe places simply because one person's idea of "exotic" is another's idea of home. Whatever word you use, it's fun to talk about unique settings in romance we don't often encounter. Read more “Unusual Settings In Historical Romances”

Historical Romance Review: And Gold Was Ours by Rebecca Brandewyne

Posted on February 18, 2022May 21, 2022 By IntrovertReader 1 Comment on Historical Romance Review: And Gold Was Ours by Rebecca Brandewyne
Historical Romance Review: And Gold Was Ours by Rebecca Brandewyne
And Gold Was Ours is a sequel of sorts to Rebecca Brandewyne‘s Love, Cherish Me. I’d consider this more of a companion piece. While both novels have Brandewyne’s hallmark baroque-gothic atmosphere, And Gold Was Ours is not as dark and emotional as its predecessor. 3.63 stars Read more “Historical Romance Review: And Gold Was Ours by Rebecca Brandewyne”

Author Spotlight: Jennifer Wilde (aka Thomas E. Huff)
Of all the men who have written romance novels, “Jennifer Wilde” stands out, and not only as the first male to garner blockbuster success in the post-Woodiwiss era. He was also an advocate of the genre and a fierce supporter of women’s liberty. Hence, he earned the right to bear the moniker of one of “Love’s Leading Ladies.” Read more “Author Spotlight: Jennifer Wilde (aka Thomas E. Huff)”

Hello all! Happy weekend. I've been away for a while but I'm back with a new #stepbackcover for my #stepbacksaturday pic. Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a fulfilling week. I'm doing some spring cleaning, trying to yet again reorganize my #books. I don't have enough shelves so I put them in boxes. There must be a ton in the attic, because I'm missing couple of 100 books. I think I'm the only person who could lose track of that many! Here's a review for a steamy #HarlequinPresents from 1995, by the late #MirandaLee. It is #ThrowbackThursday and a tweet reminded me of my beloved #cat Boomer. If human beings can have soul mates, then Boomer was mine. This week on #sweetsavageflame we highlighted one of our favorite romance cover models, Michael O'Hearn @mikeohearn. We've accumulated over 50,000 views on our Sweet Savage Flame #bookblog and we couldn't be more happy and thankful! To all our readers and supporters, we can't say enough to show our appreciation. Hello everyone I hope you're having a lovely Sunday afternoon. Today's #stepbackreveal is Rosanne Bittner wildest dreams. The cover art by H Tom Hall has Montage of the couple posing, then in an Embrace, a picture of the villain, a stampede of cattle, the heroin playing piano, and a couple of Native Americans in the snow. That's a lot going on but somehow Tom at work. How time flies! April has always been a memorable month! I wasn't going to do a #stepbacksaturday post that the weather was so nice and I had to pick a couple of Hyacinths that were being strangled by bamboo so I figured the flowers would make for a nice picture.
