  1. Thanks, Jacqueline. We don’t do Christmas in my religion, but I appreciate fine Christmas cover art, old and new.

Here my fave cover is the one for “A Christmas Charade”. Beautiful composition, eye-catching colors, attractive models. Subtle but effective drama. Cozy, warm, romantic mood.

Never mind that it’s, ahem, a little anachronistic. A Christmas tree and poinsettias in Regency England? Oh well, let’s chalk it up to artistic license!

    • Hello Mary Anne!

Thank you. As far as the anachronsims, I think few people know how recent many Christams traditions are, like Santa, reindeer and trees. And it’s a cliche about snow, as it rarely ever snows that day, especially not in the Southern Hemisphere. 😊

Christmas has always had many meanings to us. My husband’s not any demonination
and I haven’t been Catholic since I was 19. Still, it’s a special day as BOTH my daughter and husband were born on that day, so we tend to celebrate it as a time of sharing and celebration of life.

When my daughter was young Christmas was a big deal, but since she’s been at university, it’s just a day to get with family and have a nice dinner, and get to see my neices and nephews.

Here’s to happiness in the New Year!
